Create EC2 instance

1. Access EC2 (Elastic Cloud Computing) Service

Enter EC2 in the AWS Console

Click on EC2 - Virtual Servers on Cloud to access EC2 Service

2. EC2 Dashboard

Click on Running Instances

3. Create EC2 Instance

Click on Launch Instance

Select Free tier eligible AMI and Click Select

Micro instances are eligible for the AWS free usage tier. For the first 12 months following your AWS sign-up date, you get up to 750 hours of micro instances each month. When your free usage tier expires or if your usage exceeds the free tier restrictions, you pay standard, pay-as-you-go service rates.

Select General purpose and Click Next: Configure Instance Details

Enter the following information:

  • Number of instances: 1
  • Subnet: select AZ 1a
  • Auto-asign Public IP: Enable
  • Enable termination protection: yes

Add Storage

Add Tags

Configure Security Group


Create new key pair

Enter key pair name For example: cloudvnkey

Remember to Download Key Pair for future access.


4. Launched EC2 Instance

EC2 Dashboard

Enter EC2 instance name

For example: hcm-web-app

✅ Status is running Ready to go with EC2 🚀🚀🚀
